ABOUT ME
Not many people can say that a childhood toy inspired their career - but I certainly can!
When I was six, my parents gave me a Talkgirl Tape Recorder for Christmas. I spent countless hours recording whatever - and whomever - I could. Since then, I've turned that passion into a career.
I primarily work as a live sound engineer at my hometown convention center. I keep the audio components of events running as smoothly as possible. I work events ranging from graduations to city council meetings and basketball tournaments. When not working in live sound, I work in podcast post-production. I collaborate with nationally and internationally-based nonprofit organizations to edit short-form and long-form audio content to raise awareness for their cause. The podcast projects I have completed have saved organizations over $25,000 in production costs.
I also have experience in live sound for theater. For five years, I was Front of House Engineer in community theater. I oversaw all aspects of audio for ten theater productions, both large and small. I collaborated with actors of all ages to bring storytelling from the page to the stage.
In addition to the engineering side of audio, I've also gotten my feet wet in music production. In my spare time, I produce Hip Hop and R&B beats. I love hearing a musical idea in my head and watching it grow from concept to creation.
With such a diverse background in live sound, theater, and recording, it's safe to say I love all things audio.
